It took me several months to transform our oversize 2 car garage into a workshop that suits me, as well as to maximize the storage capabilities. The only thing that remains of the orginal interior is the corner with the furnace, water heater and water softener/filtration units. Everything else was custom designed and mostly built by me on my own. I have emptied the storage garage which contained all the stuff from the 3 car garage in the Oregon house, plus the attic and under-house storage. Some of the larger stuff was transferred to a different storage unit for medium/long term storage until we see where the next couple years takes us. It could all be brought back here but then there would be no room to get the car in or use the workshop. But all the stuff I might want to access in the near term is here now, either on the shelves I built or up in the small attic space above the garage which I finished off with the help of a handyman. It sure feels good to have this project behind me.
